I love Cambodia.
This beautiful country has struggled through the Khmer Rouge, Pol Pot and the genocide throughout the last 40 years. Their life, culture, history and over an 8th of their population was destroyed. The influential and the intelligent members of the community were targeted and executed. The cities were evacuated and men, women and children were marched into the harsh rural areas and forced to work like slaves. Subtle reminders of the Khmer Rouge’s history in Cambodia is evident. But what stands out most of all is the children.
These children enter a world of hardship from a time that they know nothing of, yet have such a wonderful outlook on life and all they want to do is play and run around and have fun. It really puts our lives in perspective.
We have a pretty amazing life… I guess we need to remember that…

Beautifully put! I’m loving your blogging Mr Davidson…keep it up x
